The Need for Art. Artistic Practice Falling off the Map

Without artistic practice our economy would fall off the map and lose its innovation. For instance, we can create well made technology but without an artistic practice behind it, how is it different from the Chinese or Russian made model? In the age of many, where the multitude has swallowed the leviathan once (world war 2) and believes now that they do not need God to wrestle the beast into submission. Well unfortunately, we are living in an era of superstates that have more industrial power and man power than any other society in the world. Collectively we are an industrial machine pumping out trash all of a sudden. Wasn't steel and iron an important thing? I guess not, hmm, this plastic version is pretty much the same thing, and hey, I don't think it would be possible for me to hurt myself with this thing either.

With art though, we can step through our shadow into new territory, not the realm of plastic nonsense, laziness and lack of discipline. When we say hey, are you there? We get a voice of a reason in response. Art is body hurt, and that's a problem. Many artists have intense fantasies that can cut like a knife through space. It's a feverish megalomania. But when they are accepted and given time to understand their Art with others, the artist can be something more, they can represent culture as a foil to the political representation. These work hand in hand to preserve peace but also to direct the train of imagination into new directions, away from the state of war.

Grades and evaluation are also a problem for the massive super state. We like to make out that there are many opportunities within the massive super state but in reality their are only two choices. The super state is composed of two choices 1) Follow closely and receive opportunity 2) Leave the state and find opportunity. I'll let you in on hint, I chose option 2.

The artist can attempt choice one but it is unlikely that this will actually satisfy the artist, especially if they begin to notice their freedom being threatened ie. they create and the creation is met with resistance. Resistance is meant to instill submission and for the lone artist, this can have major consequences. Overall aesthetic life is threatened by this trend of resistance between artistic creation and industry, and this may be because it is difficult to build institution about something that can be ridiculed and praised at the same time. Aesthetic is connected to sensuality and lifestyle, which have something to do with culture, I don't really know what this connection is yet but it's probably a bunch of these sensualitys together used to stimulate our train of imagination.

To finish off this thought, Art is not only a luxury. It is a need for human society but, this need should be tracked by the pulse of the economy and mixed with disciplinary skill ultimately devoted to a craft. Proceeds from this can benefit the economy and generate value for goods created.
